I Was Just Thinking...
don't you miss getting handwritten letters in the mail? i think it's just a lost art nowadays...too bad :( i used to have penpals when i was little & it was always so exciting when you got something from the postman...now all i get are bills...going to the mailbox has become a depressing task rather than a hopeful adventure

Chance Meeting
just got back from my lil vacay in idaho...it was lovely. one of my favorite parts was when we drove up to sun valley...we randomly found out that ernest hemingway was burried there (i never knew that) so we decided to check it out since my pops is a fan...there was this little graveyard right next to the main town (which is so pretty esp. w/ mountains & such. must be amazing in the snow) well, once we found his plot noticed that people leave pennies all over it. don't know why..there must be some significance i don't know about? i flicked one onto it...naturally, i missed & hit a tree. guess that means bad luck for me!

if you know me you know that i love weird little coincidences...i'm reading a hefty marlene dietrich bio right now & as i'm reading on the plane turns out that she & hemingway were really great friends...who'da thunk? i guess they met in 1934 on a french luxury liner & left behind 30 years worth of correspondence now w/ the kennedy library...found this quote on a site:
"Their letters reveal the insecurities and fears of both, and frequently touch on Hemingway's lifelong fight against depression. "Toi and moi have lived through about as bad times as ever were," he wrote in June 1950. "I don't mean just wars. Wars are spinach. Life in general is the tough part."
haha i'm sure no one cares, but just thought that was interesting.

Difficult People...
....can suckit. seriously, people are soooo freakin rude nowadays just for no reason. it really makes you wanna stop being so nice & considerate. "people" (if they even deserve that word) who have this weird self-entitlement need to get off their broom & eat handfulls of happy pills & down that w/ couple gallons of vodka

Lurv
whilst making a playlist on my ipod of some of my all time favorite songs i realized that the majority of them were love songs, so cute, i know & that it's very very hard to pick a top 10, in fact it's impossible...so here's just a very very random few tidbits along those lines of the disjointed list:
wrigley's, perhaps?
& no, my name ain't baby....it's janet, ms. jackson if you're nasty
one hit wonder & the cougar
trippy
haha it probably is
amazing
mj trying to be hot...i always thought it was funny how big naomi looks compared to him
hmmmm, i've run out of steam...so enjoy those ones because they're good i don't care what anyone says

Man Up
"The demon of intemperance ever seems to have delighted in sucking the blood of genius and of generosity."
"Perhaps a man's character was like a tree, and his reputation like its shadow; the shadow is what we think of it, the tree is the real thing."
"Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it."
oh abe, why are you so smart?
